Introduction to Katrina Hall Through out this digital portfolio, it is my intention to show personal and professional growth as well as my abilities and competencies as an online instructor gained through my practicum teaching experience. From beginning to end this portfolio will show what I have learned about myself, students, content and teaching through out the practicum experience. It is my intention to show:
An understanding of teaching theories and educational theories
Principles of teaching and learning with specific examples
A variety of well chosen and significant documents which are interesting and relevant artifacts
Good examples of coursework and lessons related to the practicum experience
Reflections which provide an in-depth level of self-evaluation
The use of professional resources and technology to support self-development as a teacher and as a learner
Connections between the teaching practice, student learning outcomes and the online environment
A descriptive and analytical narrative which traces one students learning, challenges and progress through online coursework
Future goals in terms of designing and/or teaching an online course as well as the possible challenges and resources needs to meet these goals.
